The image of a street car running up Charles Street is a pleasing one. Remember the good old days? This is not that trolley!

With the trolley comes a "Special Taxing District" which will have the power to tax real property owners in the corridor. Read "the Huge and Birdless Silence" at the lower right.

The trolley only goes from Hopkins Universtiy to the Inner Harbor.

The trolley will not be part of the MTA.

The trolley has no significant positive environmental impact. This is not the first step in the "greening" of Baltimore. It will only increase the clutter in the corridor.

State and Federal transportation funding agencies have made it clear that they want no part of the trolley.

The real property owners living along the route, all of whom have excellent public transportation now, are targeted to pay the lions share of the operating costs of the trolley.

Residents will not have a changce to express their opiion in a referendum.

The trolley is supposed to encourage development and thus will benefit developers yet the developers do not have to contribute to the trolley.
